Broward County public school presentations have been made possible through grant support provided to the Gold Coast Jazz Society by The Community Foundation of Broward (CFB), State of Florida/Department of State/Division of Cultural Affairs/ Florida Council on Arts and Culture, Broward County Public Schools/SEAS Program, Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council, Publix Supermarket Charities, Children's Opportunity Group, The Frank Pace Foundation, The Holman Automotive Group. and JAZZ2U grant from the Jazz Education Network funded by the Herb Alpert Foundation,. The Jazz Education Network is dedicated to building the jazz arts community by advancing education, promoting performance, and developing new audiences. Miami-Dade public school presentations have been given through a grant to GCJS from BankAtlantic Foundation at Miami Lakes and Arch Creek Elementary schools.
Palm Beach County public school presentations have been given through a grant from JAMS at West Riviera, Pleasant City, and Roosevelt Elementary schools.
Funding for presentations given at private schools has been made possible by the school PTOs and private donors at American Heritage & Academy Schools and Palm Beach Day School.
In the spring and summer of 2004, Mari Bell was funded by Cultural Affairs and Parks and Recreation Department to teach JazzSLAM concepts to small groups of elementary and middle school students at 18 Broward County Parks & Recreation Centers. In addition, Mari received funding from the Children's Services Council to teach JazzSLAM concepts for The Deerfield Housing Authority "Afterschool Project S.H.A.R.E. Program".
Previous grants to JazzSLAM have been received from Target, BankAtlantic Foundation, FAB, power2give, Business for the Arts of Broward, and The A.D. Henderson Foundation.
